Parliament is Bicameral

议会为两院制

来源:教材第76页

The UK Parliament is bicameral — it has two chambers: the House of Commons (lower) and the House of Lords (upper). The Commons is regarded as more important because its MPs are democratically elected. The Lords scrutinises legislation and holds the government to account. Both chambers meet in the Palace of Westminster in London. Parliament, together with the monarch, makes up the UK legislature. The public can attend debates from the public galleries.
