The UK has significant religious minorities. In the 2009 Citizenship Survey: 4% Muslim, 2% Hindu, 1% Sikh, and Jewish and Buddhist both under 0.5%. Religious buildings include Islamic mosques, Hindu temples, Jewish synagogues, Sikh gurdwaras and Buddhist temples. Everyone has the legal right to choose their religion or no religion. Major festivals include Diwali (Hindu/Sikh, October/November), Hanukkah (Jewish, November/December), Eid al-Fitr (end of Ramadan), and Vaisakhi (Sikh, 14 April).
