Hogmanay and Burns Night

Hogmanay is the Scottish celebration of New Year, held on 31 December. Edinburgh's Hogmanay is one of the largest New Year celebrations in the world. Burns Night is celebrated on 25 January in honour of Robert Burns, the Scottish national poet. Traditions include a Burns Supper with haggis, neeps and tatties, and recitation of his poetry, including 'Auld Lang Syne'.
