Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands is the highest mountain in the UK, standing at 1,345 metres (4,413 feet). Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales. Scafell Pike in the Lake District is the highest mountain in England. Slieve Donard in the Mourne Mountains is Northern Ireland's highest peak. These mountains are popular with climbers and walkers.
