The Four Nations of the UK

The United Kingdom is made up of four nations: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. England is the largest by population (over 80%). The capital city is London. Great Britain refers to England, Scotland, and Wales — it does not include Northern Ireland. The Crown Dependencies (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) are linked to the UK but are not part of it.
