The UK population is approximately 67 million. England has the largest share with about 56 million. Scotland has about 5.5 million, Wales about 3.1 million, and Northern Ireland about 1.9 million. The UK is ethnically diverse, with significant communities of people from South Asia, the Caribbean, Africa, and Eastern Europe.
