Participation in Community Life

Source: Handbook p.6

Participation in community life is one of the five fundamental British values. Residents are encouraged to volunteer, help neighbours, take part in local activities, and contribute to society. Good citizens are seen as an asset to the UK. Examples include joining parent-teacher associations, volunteering with charities, or standing as a school governor.
