Voting and Electoral Registration

Registering on the electoral register and voting in elections is an important civic duty. UK citizens (and Commonwealth and Irish Republic citizens living in the UK) can vote in all elections. EU citizens can vote in local elections. You must be 18 or over to vote in general elections. Voting is not compulsory but is strongly encouraged.
