Democracy

Democracy is a fundamental value of the UK. This means that the people of the UK can influence decisions about how the country is governed through free and fair elections. The UK has a parliamentary democracy, where elected Members of Parliament represent the people. Every adult citizen has the right to vote, and elections are held regularly.
