National Flowers and Emblems

Each UK nation has a flower associated with it, often worn on the patron saint's day: England — rose; Scotland — thistle; Wales — daffodil or leek; Northern Ireland — shamrock. These floral emblems are displayed at sporting events, national celebrations, and on coins and stamps.
