Easter and Lent Traditions

عيد الفصح وتقاليد الصوم الكبير

المصدر: الدليل، صفحة 51

Easter takes place in March or April, marking the death of Jesus on Good Friday and his resurrection on Easter Sunday. Both Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays. The 40 days before Easter are Lent, a period of reflection. Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day) is the day before Lent begins. Lent starts on Ash Wednesday. Chocolate Easter eggs are given as symbols of new life.
