Scotland in the Middle Ages

Scotland remained a separate kingdom during the Middle Ages. William Wallace and Robert the Bruce were famous Scottish heroes who fought against English domination. Robert the Bruce led the Scots to victory at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314, securing Scottish independence. The Declaration of Arbroath in 1320 asserted Scotland's independence from England.
